唐寳泰字冠東
(Tang Pao-Tai)
 商界:瑞泰毛紡織染廠常務董事,泰
來洋行華總經理,瑞華商業儲蓄銀行董
事。
 一八九三年生於上海,原籍廣東中山
,爲巨商唐仲良公之公子。
 唐君於一九○七年畢業於上海漢璧禮
書院,是年留學德國習軍事科(一九○
七至一四年)。
 囘國後,任北京統率辦事處參謀(一
九一四至一六年)。一九一六年結婚於
上海。留滬經商,獨資創辦瑞泰機製石
粉廠,專製各種工業原料,爲我國此業
之鼻祖。同時由一九二一年兼任德商泰
來洋行華總經理。
 戰事發生後,交通阻梗,以致石粉業
原料來源困難,乃將瑞泰石粉廠改組爲

瑞泰毛紡織染廠,任該廠常務董事。同
時參加金融組織,創辦瑞華商業儲蓄銀
行,任該銀行董事。
 唐君之令叔前國務總理少川公(紹儀)
爲中國有數之政界名人,亦爲民國之開
國元勳。唐君長公子曉天,畢業於上海
聖約翰大學,得經濟科學士學位,現任
瑞泰毛紡織染廠副經理;次子百平,畢
業於滬江大學社會學系,得學士學位,
現任中國大理石廠協理。

 Born at Shanghai, 1893, of Kwangtung
(Chungshan) ancestry, son of
late Tong Chung-Liang, well-known
merchant.
 Mr. Tong completed his studies in
the Thomas Hanbury School for Boys,
Shanghai, 1907, in which year he
went to Germany where he took up
Military Science, 1907-14.
 Returning to China, he became
Staff-Offcer of the Generalissimo's
Headquarters, Peking, 1914-16. Married
in Shanghai, 1916. As Sole
Proprietor, Mr. Tong established
the Soey Tai Stone Powder Works,
manufacturers of powdered raw material
for various industries, being
the pioneer in this industry, since
1916. Concurrently, became Chinese
General Manager of Telge & Schroeter
(German firm), since 1921.
 Transportation difficulties caused
by the war made it impossible to
secure supplies of raw material for
the Stone Powder Works so the plant
was changed and the concern became
the Soey Tai Wool Weaving & Dyeing
Works, of which Mr. Tong is Managing
Director. He also established the
Soey Wha Commercial & Savings
Bank, of which he is Director.
 He is a nephew of the late Tong
Shao-Yi, Ex-Premier and China's
famous statesman who played a prominent
part during the Manchu
regime and also in the early days of
the Republic. Mr. Tong's eldest son,
Tong Hsiao-Tien, B.A. in Economics,
(St. John's University, Shanghai), is
assistant manager of the Soey Tai
Wool Weaving & Dyeing Works. His
second son, Tong Pa-Ping, B.A. in
Sociology (University of Shanghai),
is assistant manager of the China
Marble Works.
