It is a major research center for postwar financial and technological history. |
Huai River Control Commission Project | Open Access | The Huai River Control Commission project is a collection of historical materials related to the governance of the Huai River basin during the training period of the Nationalist Government, and the selected images are presented on thematic webpages. The database combined the function of GIS and Official Position Searching System. The database could apply to the study of social history, history of water conservancy, and technical history. This is an achievement of the 2018 Digital Humanities Project. |
Military News Agency Database | Open Access | In recent years, the Institute has collaborated with the Ministry of Defense's Military News Agency to digitize and add value to its archives, and has established a thematic database that can be browsed by date, category, keyword, and newspaper accompanying image. It is valuable for research on international issues such as Taiwan society before the lifting of strictures, military history, Sino-US relations, and Cold War history. Resource Map of Agricultural Demobilization Committee's Archives | Open Access | The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's Agricultural Demobilization Committee files, its post-war material receipts and war losses, the database combines with digital tools such as Geographic Information System (GIS), historical maps and information search to visually present the information of the documents, users can shape diversified "resource maps" on their own. The scope of this project can be extended to all provinces and cities in China, and it can be applied in the direction of environmental history, ecological history, and technology history. This project is the result of the "Post-War Rural Rehabilitation and Resource Reorganization" project in 2020. |
