From 9.00 until 11.30 a Yuan meeting when the members asked President Sun to speak on the international situation. He said, as the new Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, I should be asked to speak in his stead. I was therefore compelled to stand up and make a short report and after that Dr. Sun Fo made a short speech for about half an hour.

After the meeting, I asked President Sun Fo whether I should resign my post as Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, the summoning committee of the Committee of Propagating Constitution, as well as the summoning committee of the Committee of Civil Law. He said as there was very little work to be done here he would like me to hold all my posts here concurrently. I replied I would gladly do so. Thus some very delicate personal problems were solved.
