Feng Ziyou arrived. He is to stay here. According to him, Hu Mulan (胡木蘭)[1] was born at Zhonghuo Bao, and so Zhou Xinian (周希年)[2]’s version of her being the daughter of He Leqin (何樂琴)[3] is not true. Why should Zhou Xinian fabricate such a story? What has he to gain by it? People who are fond of inventing gossip usually do it less with malicious intention than to satisfy their own devilish pleasures.
