Twenty-sixth day of the first lunar month

At 11.00 a.m. I called on President Sun to report Dai’s case to him. Glad to find that he realised Dr. Wang Chonghui’s difficulty and thought it best for Dai’s interest and health too to be sent abroad. He (Dr. Sun Fo) told me a great deal of what he heard from Zhang Chong (林冲). To my profound distaste, he complained of Yukun’s service to Dr. Wang Chonghui. I had to swallow the humiliation with Spartan endurance as what I want to avoid most all these years is conflict between my two best friends—Dr. Sun Fo himself and Dr. Wang Chonghui.
