Hitler issued a long statement justifying Germany’s declaration of war towards the U.S.S.R. It is not a very convincing document. The U.S.S.R and Great Britain become allies again.

Received a notification that the first meeting of the Committee of Studying the Adjustment of the Current Administrative Institutions will be held at 4.00 p.m. tomorrow, so I prepared to proceed to go to Chungking early tomorrow.
