Tianjuan gave a farewell dinner at home for his young flame A.W. who is to go off, shortly by aeroplane to Hong Kong to meet her fiancé and be married there. Every one tried to be gay and happy, but the couple’s feelings could hardly be concealed. Affairs of the heart cannot be cured by cool reasoning, and, although time is an effective remedy, it takes so very very long. However, she is quite accomplished in her ways and will make a good housewife. I wish her happiness.
