I received letter from Sun Fo, saying that the French Consul still has not received the instruction from Paris. Huang Qiang also wrote to me mentioning this issue. I was really surprised, so I immediately telephoned to notify Duan Guanhai, asking him to deal with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs about this matter.

For economy’s sake I had stopped the mailing of Huaqiao Ribao from Hong Kong, therefore because I want to listen to Chinese radio broadcasts from New Delhi (they give the largest coverage of Far Eastern news), I ordered a Philips’s Camp radio set from the Netherlands. The reception is quite good, but it is of no matter as it boasts to be the strongest radio in Europe.
