Received a phone message from Margery Young who is on her way to Menton with her husband. We could not invite her to our party as it would be too crowded. She leaves tomorrow morning, so I told her we might go there too sometime this winter. She promised to write to me when she arrives there.

Invited Mr. and Mrs. Chen Xiongfei, Mr. and Mrs. Zhou Lin, Mrs. Luo, Elder Miss Qian and Pan Yuliang for dinner. A very pleasant party. The ladies sang after dinner. Today happens to be Zhou Lin’s birthday and so even more merry.
