I received a reply letter from Foreign Minister Molotov for the letter I sent to Stalin attaching the congratulatory telegram from Chairman Chiang. He also said the reply telegram had been sent to the Chairman directly via the Soviet Embassy in Chongqing.

In the morning I studied Russian for two hours.
