Twenty-seventh day of the twelth lunar month
Mr. Huang Xing (黃興)[1]’s wife, Xu Zhonghan (徐宗漢)[2] came to have a talk with me. The old Mrs. Huang was over 70 but still in quite good spirits with a clear mind. She also knows Soviet diplomacy well. Because of her relationships with Zhaoxian and Kitty, she treated me quite well. She believed deeply in Buddhism in her old age and had much good influence on Zhaoxian and Yanfan.
I bought a mink overcoat with a seal collar. The size fitted me well and the price was only ten thousand Guobi. Deputy Ministers Hu and Wu invited me to a farewell dinner in the hotel.

[2] Xu Zhonghan (1877-1944) was Cantonese. She had been a revolutionary leader.
