Dull

The Foreign Ministry instructed that Liu Zhengyu could leave the Embassy when the new person arrives, but his heart is already no longer here, therefore both Counsellors Liu and Chen advocated that we ask him to return first. Recently his work has been even worse, and there is no point forcing him to stay. Therefore I asked him to leave Moscow at the end of this month as scheduled.

From 11.00 until 1.30 I studied Russian.
