The Danish navy have sunk their own ships and a tiny portion of them left for Sweden. The Germans have kept the Danish King and officials in custody, so it is better to fight and sacrifice than to surrender. Recently the Germans have been attacking Sweden, and the Soviet newspapers published news which showed its discontent with Sweden, and accusingly suggested that Sweden probably has signed a secret treaty with Germany, allowing the Germans and its materials to pass through Sweden. A small country which is in-between two large countries is difficult. In this world only strength matters, and reason not. Is it really a crime to be small and weak?
The Soviet Union has recaptured the important southern city Taganrog and it celebrated with gun salutes here.
