Vice Minister Wu sent a telegram to me, saying the Generallisimo is quite concerned about the meeting between Satō and Molotov on 4 June (from a Japanese broadcast) so I sent Counsellor Chen to go to the British Embassy to ask Charge d’Affaires Crosthwaite to cable Ambassador Kerr to sort out the matter.
