I discussed with Shaohua and Dolly again the matter of the sugar factory.

Khóo Péng invited us for a banquet at his residence in Beitou. Ohgushi Ryusaku (大串隆作) of the Taipei branch of Mitsubishi Corporation, as well as S. Sanami (佐南正司), the Head of the branch, were present. Sanami said he had received a reply telegram from the head office of Japan that he could cooperate with us. As for the catalogue of products, it had been sent from Japan to Taiwan via airmail. Dolly seems to be quite enthusiastic about this business, but Shaohua seems a bit cool.
