Mrs. Xie Guoying (謝國英) (i.e.) Guan Jingyi (關靜怡), former headmistress of Shangyan Primary School of Shanghai (of which I was the president of the board of directors) wrote to introduce one Mr. Zhao Daguang(趙大光) of the Daiguang Dispensary. He came with Paul Liang and told me that he wanted to transfer some of his money to Paris as he did not wish to put all his eggs in one basket. I agreed with him. He had been with the body guards of the late Dr. Sun Yat-sen and fought at the Guanyinshan. He is a now a rich man as his extract of bird’s nest, etc., are very popular in Indochina.
