Today the editorial of the New York Herald Tribune advocated that Taiwan should not be abandoned and that the Nationalist government should be assisted. American public opinion is gradually changing.

Walter Lippmann commented on the powerfulness of American strength and urged the Soviet side to pay attention to this. He also seems to have changed his opinion.

The American representative formally made proposal, blaming the Beijing government as the aggressor.
