In the morning I went with Counsellor Chen and Military Attaché Guo to the cultural park to see the war materials captured from Germany. There were so many, we only had a quick look at the artillery, tanks, machine guns, and airplanes. The Soviet Government sent an officer and an English translater to explain everything. Recently the development of weapons has been so fast that it is really scary. The so called “tiger “tanks (60 ton) and 70 ton tanks are particularly fierce, but still were struck down by Soviet weapons. Using such useful mental power and wealth in the country to develop such a killer machine, I really didn’t know what Hitler was thinking. The people who invented and made this kind of weapon were trying to put their heart and soul into it and work so hard to make these evil weapons. I thought of what Mencius said that one had to be very careful when one chose one’s profession.

Our country also recognises the French Committee of National Liberation, on the same conditions as Britain. This kind of attachment is necessary for our country because of the relationship between Vietnam and us.
