Sun

In the afternoon I went to the American Embassy to watch movies.

In the evening I invited several American and British reporters for dinner. They were Henry Shapiro (U.P.), Alexander Werth (BBC, Sunday Times), Marjorie Shaw (London Daily Mirror), Flemming & Salisbury. They were very pessimistic over Soviet-British relations. I totally understand why they think like that.

The British and American Governments seem to have hardened their stern attitude towards Spain. The British and American Governments continue to publicise the cruelty of the Japanese army towards British and American captives. As a matter of fact, when Japan invaded China their atrocities towards the Chinese were much worse than this. But now Japan imposes such things on their people (the British and Americans) then it is publicised.
