Fine
From 11.00 until 1.30 I studied Russian.
At 4.00 in the afternoon I went with Hu to the second-hand bookshop. I bought two English translations of Dostoevsky and Tugenev. Then we went to the department store. The prices were still high and there was nothing worthwhile buying. We then went to the Cossack Restaurant.
In the evening I read Dostoevsky’s The Insulted and Injured. It described how bad the Russian nobles were. It was quite good. Once started I could not stop 7.30 am. I do not dare read novels, because I cannot stop when I start one. I always read until dawn. It is too tiresome.
