I decided with Kitty that from tomorrow we would hand Hong Kong Restaurant over to Zhongxiong to manage. Shaohua and Defeng would help him. We would not interfere too much. I reminded Zhongxiong that as he was taking responsibility for the first time he should be very careful and he should not lose credibility. I also asked Zhu Guang and Lui Guozhi to try their best to help.

Li Deyu returned to the United States from Taipei via here. I invited him to have supper. According to what he said about the conditions in New York, he said Americans were also bad towards H. H. Kung and Song Ziwen. When they talked about the failure of the Kuomintang they would say that Kung and Song were the culprits.
