Light rain

In the morning I went with Attachés Hu and Qian to the department shop. There were plenty of products but the prices were so high that we could not afford anything. So we were back to the Embassy empty-handed. There was nothing worth buying in the second-hand shops. In the past when I lived with Wang Chonghui in Nanjing, he always told me that going shopping together was one of the best forms of entertainments. He also wanted to write an essay on it with the title “Shopping as a pleasure for men”. I really feel that visiting shops here is the only entertainment, and also essential for breathing fresh air.
