Minister Song arrived in New Dehli and talked with Lord Louis Mountbatten about the Far East war zone. I received a telegram from the Foreign Ministry saying that Zhang Daofan had been transferred to the Overseas Ministry, and Guisheng would have another arrangement. I replied to letters from Huimei and Margery Young and wrote to Qian Tai and Chen Weicheng.
