The British Embassy and Voks invited me to watch the film about wartime life in Britain. Mikhail M. Borodin was also there. I talked to him about our old times and he asked me about Eugene Chen (陳友仁) ’s situation. I told him that Eugene Chen had recently written some essays advocating peace settlement with Japan. He also said he was very disappointed with Eugene Chen. I also asked him about his wife. He said she had not been in good health recently. I didn’t dare to ask any more for fear this might cause him distress.
