Madame Lamason and her grand-daughters Madeleine and Renee visited me. It is because previously when it was my birthday I had invited the two grand-daughters to come but they did not dare to visit. Therefore, their grandmother came to see me with them. I invited them to have afternoon tea and watch wireless movies, but it was a pity the movies were not of good quality.
Madame May informed Kitty that she would quit her job next Thursday. She really has no conscience. As a matter of fact, she is quite useless here and is very bad-tempered. But we had pitied her because she is old and has nobody to depend upon, so we reluctantly employed her. As she has resigned on her own initiative, we certainly did not ask her to stay.
