New Year’s Day, Renchen Year

According to the lunar calendar, I am now fifty-seven years of age. In the past year, world conditions have improved greatly.  For Taiwan, the country seems to be making progress, and the Chinese Communists in China seem bit by bit to be hated by the people. But as to personal aspects, things are increasingly difficult for me. I only hope that my luck would turn to be better this year.

Chen Heng (陳亨) came to talk. I studied Italian on my own.

T.F. Tsiang had raised a bill of indictment to Soviet Union in the General Assembly of the United Nations yesterday.
