Britain broadcast an analysis of military commentators, saying the Balkans was not suitable for war in the winter season, therefore it was too late to open a war zone there this year. Probably it was because the British side thought the Soviet Union was demanding British and American troops land in France then it would be counted. Dispatching troops to the Balkans would not be counted, so Britain had to say this.
