In the afternoon, Chen Jingchen visited me with his wife, Wu Guanghan (吳光漢) and his wife. Mrs. Wu is Danish, but she is proficient in English, French, German and other languages. She also knows a little bit of Chinese.

At four in the afternoon, Duan Guanhai and his wife, Elder Miss Qian visited me. Duan Guanhai secretly told me that the last time after he saw me he immediately went to meet Mr. Weng Wenhao, to ask him what had happened regarding his application of visa from the British Embassy. According to Weng’s reply, there was no such intention as going across to the areas of the CCP. His father and wife were both in Hong Kong. As Weng had been away from them for so long, they only wanted him to return to Hong Kong to see them. I told him the news that Sun Fo intended to go to France. He said that he could immediately be in liaison with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to get a visa sorted for Sun Fo.
