I went with Attachés Qian and Hu to Attaché Hu’s villa.  After lunch, Attaché Hu moved out of the villa. When we said farewell, the landlady felt sad and cried. Soviet people emphasise emotion, which is different to Britain and the United States.

In the evening we went to the auxiliary theatre to watch La Traviata. The female main theatre was Pantofel-Nichetzkaya. Though she is quite old and fat, her songs were excellent. No wonder she is regarded as the best soprano in the Soviet Union.
