In the afternoon, the Czechoslovakian correspondent Varshick invited me to have afternoon tea at his home. He was previously an engineer at the Skoda Works stationed in the Soviet Union, now he is the representative of a Czechoslovakian newspaper in the United States. His wife is from the Soviet Union and she is quite nice. He has two daughters and they live in a house with three rooms. So one can see his standard of living.
