I invited the Australian Charge d’Affaires Officer and American Charge d’Affaires Perkins to have dinner in the Embassy. Neither of them had any special news about Satō’s arrival in Moscow. The Soviet Union announced the Comintern has been dissolved and had received agreements from the Communist parties and Communist Youth of 31 countries, therefore the dissolution was valid from today.
The Generalissimo sent a telegram to me today asking if I had enough funding. I was very grateful and replied that I could manage at the moment.
