Ding Weici came to talk with me about Daichu’s matter. It is still not finished. The three Directors who were in charge did not like Daichu because Daichu told reporters twice that he would return to his post one week later. He said his case was no longer a problem. Therefore the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was even more unhappy with him. That the Division of Intelligence had sent his case to the Control Yuan is naturally ‎making a big fuss over a trivial issue. The lifelong problem with Daichu is that he has no idea how to deal with people. I am afraid he will suffer a lot from this.

In the afternoon I went out to buy books, pens and daily necessities. I had dinner at Meierlian. The establishment has air-conditioning, but the food is just mediocre.

I returned to my room to read European History which I have just bought.
