At half past two in the afternoon I went shopping with Kitty to Selfridges.  Jinpei waited for us there. Then we went to Cheng’s residence to have supper together.

American newspapers have reported on the production of the Soviet Union, saying there are eighty-five factories making airplanes, and twenty-eight factories making machine parts for aircraft. Twenty-two thousand airplanes were made last year, whilst the United States only produced five thousand.
