Removed to stay with Guo Youshou at 13, rue Emile Declaux 15eme (Tel. Seguir 20-88). It is a very nice flat with modern conveniences—lift, central heating, bath, etc, and very well-located. The whole flat consists of a little hall, a sitting room, a big dining room, two bedrooms, a big kitchen and a bath room and a toilet; also a servant’s room. We share the house and my room is a very nice one. The monthly expenses amount to about 58,000 francs but he [Guo] charges me only 20,000 francs, which is extremely reasonable and my wife is highly satisfied though I feel a bit uneasy. We made arrangements for Qian to come every day to fetch us to have our meals at the restaurant as usual. Very busy the whole day arranging our room etc.
