The Canadian Foreign Minister, Lester Pearson, recently returned to Canada from his visit to the Soviet Union. He made a statement that with regard to the unification of Germany, it was necessary to make it neutral, as Sweden. Probably the Canadian Foreign Minister thinks that the side of the United States and Western Europe should change its policy towards the Soviet Union, and he intended to recommend himself as a mediator.
