Heavy snow, cold, sun
The Soviet newspapers publicised that the Soviet Foreign Minister’s first deputy Korneichuk’s resignation was approved. Probably this is about the Polish question, because Korneichuk is the son-in-law of the President of the Polish patriotic Association. So the Soviet Union asked him to step aside first, in order to use that Association to form the Polish Government. The Soviet Union was forced to take this move, which is bad for both the Allies and theSoviet Union. But with regard to the Polish question, Britain and the United States have insisted on the most foolish policy, and the people inside the Polish exile government just kept going their own way irrespective of the circumstances. Things developing like this seem to be as a result of destiny. The future is very worrying.
The American reporters had asked Hull about the change in the Soviet diplomatic system, asking him whether the United States should approve every state having the diplomatic right to counter it. This issue was British callousness in the past, which was used to take advantage of others. It was also the result of a certain section of Americans who advocated equality of big and small countries. In the future it will become an international farce. I wrote to Bingkun, Jinpei and Baoqiao.
