Fine

I awoke at half past eight. Kitty was in a state of great mental agitation. She insisted that the clothes rack she had used to block the room had been moved, therefore someone must have sneaked into the room. I could not tolerate her any longer and we quarreled badly. Zhongxiong also did not think what she said was right. As a matter of fact, in the past few years the humiliation she has imposed on me has made me feel that there is no pleasure in life. I could not think how I could carry on. I wondered if it was the debt I owed her in my previous life.

At 10.20 in the morning we left Florence. At 11.40 we reached Pisa. Baoqiao, Zenghan and Sun Fo stayed to see the Pisa Tower. I went with Kitty and Zhongxiong to a shoe shop which was going out of business to buy several pairs of shoes. At 12.50 we left Pisa. At 1.15 we reached Viareggio. We lunched at the Hotel Astor. The scenery of the beach there was lovely, and also the hotel costs were not expensive. It is a good place as a summer resort.

We continued our trip by car at 2.45 p.m. At half past seven we arrived at the city of Genoa. We stayed in Hotel Bristol, E Albergo Palazzo, Via XX Settembre,35. The hotel was a good one, and the room view was fine too. I stayed in Room 352, while Zhongxiong stayed in Room 350. I took a walk outside with Kitty and Zhongxiong. The streets were so fine, and the lighting in the squares was much better than those in Paris and London. At half past eight we went to Olivo Piazza Raibetta. The food was good and cheap.

We returned to our hotel at eleven. Sun Fo had changed his plans; he decided to reserve the car of Yu Junji until he returned to Paris. Even now, such selfish mentality with no regard to the difficulty of others about him has not changed in the slightest. It was really a great pity.
