I received a letter from Sito Zhuohui (司徒灼輝).[1] He told me about his living standards with Huiming. Though their earnings are insignificant, they can manage.  I learnt Spanish on my own for four hours.

The United Army has abandoned Seoul. The government of South Korea has moved its capital for the second time.

The American newspapers report that there is news of a purge in the Chinese Communist Party. Their members would be decreased from six million to three million.

[1] Sito Zhuohui was the father of Fu Bingchang’s son-in-law (Huiming’s father-in-law).
