Twenty-eighth day of the twelfth lunar month, Yiwei year

The Saturday Evening Post has published the article of Alsop’s brother. It says that during the Geneva conference of leaders last year, Eisenhower and Zukov had held secret talks for two and a half hours. He said during this period of hydrogen bombs, if the United States and the Soviet Union would go to war, both countries would be destroyed. Therefore, the United States would absolutely not launch a war, but equally it would not give any further concessions to the Soviet Union. If the Soviet Union pressed further, it would launch an attack. Zukov also understands the situation, therefore he was sympathetic to Eisenhower that from now on they should live in peaceful co-existence. The negotiation between Eisenhower and Zukov is exactly what I had predicted.
