In the morning Liu Shida visited me.

At 12:30 noon the President Chiang organized a luncheon at the Taipei Guest House. Those who were invited were all veterans. There were fifty to sixty people in total. My seat was in quite a high priority. Yan Xishan, Xu Fulin(徐傅霖), Chen Qitian(陳啟天) and others spoke. There was nothing important. Only Chen Qitian’s criticism of the bureaucratization of government was even more serious than in the past. The President had his own interpretation regarding the CCP’s rectification movement.

In the afternoon Chen Daichu came. We talked for quite a long time. But he did not mention his matter. I certainly did not raise it.
