At three in the afternoon, Chen Ding and his wife came to greet us a Happy New Year. I invited them to stay for afternoon tea. Afterwards I went with Kitty and Zhongxiong to Paris to pay a return visit to Minister Duan and others at the Chinese Embassy. It happened that Duan was not at his home, so we went to Roger La Grenouille, 28 rue des Grands Augustins. The frogs were not fleshy enough. Then we went to Les Folies Bergeres. We did not return home until twelve.
