I installed a door for the wine rack in the cellar of the restaurant.
The Alsop brothers have written a piece comparing American and Soviet armaments. They wrote:
- i) The progress of guided missiles lags behind that of the Soviet Union. The United States government suggests US600 million dollars would be used on developing the weapons.
- ii) As for its air force, the Soviet Union has abandoned its 15,000 MiG15 planes and replaced them with Farmer and Flashlight. The US Secretary of Defense, Charles Wilson, has declared many times that the United States would strengthen the power of its air force, saying it would first change to use F101B and F102 Night-fighters. But it is only in the last six months that the US started to order them. If a war materialized, the US would certainly be unable to catch up with its need. Therefore, at present, the Soviet air force (with the exception of jet bombers like the B-47) and its other departments are in much better shape than those of the United States.
iii) With regard to atomic weapons, the Soviet Union had built several tens of divisions, while the United States has only built one division and two experimental divisions. Therefore, if there were a war, the American side would not have as much manpower as the Soviet Union, and the weapons they could use would be inferior to the enemy in terms of quality and quantity. For its own survival, the American side should be more generous in spending on (military).
