At 8:00 a.m., Zhang Qun dispatched a car to take me and Zhongxiong to his residence for breakfast. He asked Zhongxiong about his business and  Zhongxiong told him a little. At 8:45 a.m., he took us back to the hotel.

Wen Yuanning came and talked for quite a long time. He told me about the various sayings outside regarding my mission. Wang Yunwu had also talked with him about it. I told Wen what had transpired regarding this. Wen really did not think that I should decline administrative work. He hoped that he could be sent to Paris or Rome. I urged him to understand that South America is acceptable too.

Zhongxiong and I went out for lunch to Jushuixuan. We only spent seventeen dollars in total.

In the afternoon Attorney General Zhao Shen (Character : Yunyi) came to talk with me. He urged me to take up administrative work.

Zhang Huizhang came to chat with me. We had a happy time. His wife has heart disease so she could not stay here.

Li Dachao came to talk with me about Sun Fo’s matter in detail. His books had been bought by the government for US$30,000 but the money was grabbed by Sun Fo. It was a great pity.

In the evening, Zhang Daofan, President of Legislative Yuan, invited me for a banquet. The guest list was decided by me. Therefore, I had a happy time gathering with old fellows.
