Eighteenth day of the second lunar month
I visited the Iranian Ambassador Madjid Ahy. He is the doyen of diplomats here and had studied in the Soviet Union, but can not speak English. He belongs to the new sect in Iran and was quite decent about China.
At 1.00 p.m. I visited the Yugoslavian Ambassador, S. S. Simic. He said Yugoslavia and China are similar in many aspects in regard to thinking. His father-in-law specialised in world colloquial languages, feeling that Yugoslavia shared many similarities with China. The concept of family is also strong, which is the same as in China.
At 5.00 I visited the Czechoslovakian Ambassador Z. Fierlinger.
