Fine, sun
In the morning I studied Russian, and at the same time I read Russian newspapers. (I read Russian newspapers twice a week, and the textbook thrice.)
The date of departure for the diplomatic messenger has had to be changed to next Monday as there is no train seat available. Such a trivial problem in the Soviet Union make us very annoyed.
The Soviet army has recovered Sevastopol, which is an important port in the Black Sea. The German army in the area around the Crimea has been completely eliminated.
The Czechoslovakian Ambassador invited me to afternoon tea. According to him, the big bang we heard the day before yesterday in the afternoon came from a Soviet factory explosion. The factory is 60 km from here. The sound was so big that the losses must be substantial. Now the Soviet Union is investigating the cause and it was probably done by enemy spies. When I chatted to Jingchen, we both thought if preventative measures are not more severe, there will be more traitors because those who are in charge of spies will tempt people to do trivial things first, and then they cannot escape. If there are more traitors, then the punishment will be more severe. This is just a vicious circle. All in all, rather than hegemony our country stresses the heavenly way of political morality. This is better.
