Mrs. V.L. Pandit was elected President of the United Nations General Assembly by 37 votes to 22, and Zdeněk Fierlinger elected President of the Czech National Assembly. So, two of my former colleagues are getting on.

The Soviet government has taken another step forward in its drive to increase agricultural production and consumers’ goods by forming new ministries with Mikoyan heading the Ministry of Internal Trade, Kosygin, the Ministry of Food and Light Industries, Koslov, the Ministry of State Farms. The Soviet government seems very serious in her efforts.
