In the morning, I left a letter for Kitty, saying Kitty was really unable to cook. Therefore, I had borrowed a cook from the Shanglong restaurant. In part I also feared that Kitty is too stingy and that she would come into further conflict with Sun Fo when she saw him again, which would complicate the matter more.  So I decided that I would live in Paris with Kitty temporarily. I immediately went with Kitty to Paris. We went to Chinese Embassy and talked to Duan Guanhai. Guanhai and his wife asked us to stay to have lunch. In the evening, we had supper at the Shaonglong restaurant. At a quarter past ten we returned home and talked at the place of Baoqiao. According to him, Sun Fo told him of this matter today, and expressed repentance. Sun Fo said there were few friends who had got to know him so well for thirty-five years. He confessed that it was his fault in bursting into great temper towards Kitty. Sun Fo seemed to know that we were back and he went downstairs to enter his room on the excuse that he heard sound coming from the oven. He smiled and greeted with Kitty. Kitty greeted him in return. Therefore, Baoqiao urged us that the matter was settled like this and they were reconciled with each other. Kitty seemed to change her mind, but she is really unable to forgive Mrs. Sun.
