This morning we had a discussion meeting on international issues at Wang Chonghui’s. He raised an outline of peace organisation after the war. I thought it was too accommodating to the facts. People thought that what I said was correct. In the evening, Guo Taiji, and Qian Tai discussed with me the translation of the telegram from the Generalissimo to Roosevelt and Churchill, telling them that the enemy would invade Yunnan from Vietnam so as to cut off our transportation and force us to succumb, and asking them to deploy their air forces to help us.
