Chen Daichu invited me to have dinner in the “Garden”. Originally, we ordered one fish and one chicken, but because we had eaten one crab for the cold dish we were told we could not have any chicken. Probably we could only have one meat. The way the Soviet Union treats diplomats is perhaps too mean. But the Soviet Union is always like this everywhere, so it’s no wonder.
