Harrison E. Salisbury published a report in The New York Times (Sunday Edition) with regard to Soviet activities in the Near East. He said according to the opinion of a historical expert, the social, economic and political developments in the coming one hundred years will be determined by how the United States copes with changes in the Near East, because the prospects of the Arab nations, India and Black Africans in Africa would be the most decisive factor in determining whether the Soviets are successful or not. For example, what the United States needs to consider immediately is the Aswan High Dam which Egypt wants to build.  If the American side arranges with the World Bank to provide a loan for Egypt to do the construction, then the Egyptian economy would not be separate from a western economic relationship in the coming ten or twenty years. What he wrote is quite right.
